Marrakech - Casablanca

Your day excursion to Casablanca commences with an early morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel at 7:00 so that we can make the most of your day.

Hop on a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for a smooth and enjoyable 3-hour journey on the motorway, passing through the lush Gharb plains also known as the Gharb Valley.

En Route to Casablanca, admire the scenic landscapes of the Moroccan countryside. Enjoy the picturesque views of rolling hills, charming rural villages, and expansive farmlands of wheat, barley, sunflowers, and olive groves.

We will make a brief stop at a rest area halfway through the trip before proceeding towards Casablanca.

Upon arrival at the economic capital of Morocco, meet your English-speaking city guide who will be waiting for you to show you the best of the city.

Our first stop will be the legendary Hassan II Mosque, an architectural marvel designed by a French architect that took six years to build. This iconic landmark is one of the largest mosques in the world accommodating 25,000 worshippers.

The remarkable 210-meter-tall minaret, reaching high into the sky, will instantly capture your attention upon arrival. Admire the intricate details of its Moorish and Islamic designs.

From here, continue to the Corniche of Casablanca, a beautiful waterfront promenade that stretches along the Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoy the refreshing sea breeze and admire the stunning views of the coastline. You can also find various cafes and restaurants along the Corniche where you can sit and relax while sipping a cup of traditional Moroccan mint tea.

Your next stop will be the Old Medina, the historic heart of Casablanca. Discover the narrow, winding streets filled with bustling markets, known as souks. Here, you can find a wide range of traditional Moroccan handicrafts, spices, clothing, and souvenirs. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere as you bargain with local shopkeepers.

Continuing on, we will visit the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, a French colonial-era construction from the 1930s. We will then proceed to the United Nations Place, a central hub surrounded by shops, cafes, and noteworthy historical landmarks.

From there, we continue to the Arab League Square, which is home to the “Palais de la Justice”, a worthwhile stop for any architecture buff.

You might choose to have lunch at leisure at the legendary Rick’s Café, inspired by the iconic film “Casablanca.” Enjoy a drink or a meal at this beautifully recreated establishment, featuring a mix of Moroccan and European decor. Please inform us in advance while making your booking, so we can reserve a table for you.

In the late afternoon, we’ll start our return journey to Marrakech. As you bid farewell to Casablanca, enjoy a scenic drive through its upscale residential area before hitting the motorway for a leisurely three-hour ride.
