7 Days Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Our 7-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech will begin at around 8 AM, starting with your pick-up from your hotel in Casablanca or the airport. Our first destination will be the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, followed by a drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco.

In Rabat, we will explore the modern city, marveling at the impressive Hassan II tower and venturing into its rich historical sites.

Next, we will make our way to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, enjoying the breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains and picturesque forests along the journey. We will spend the night in a traditional riad located in the heart of the Medina.

Day 2: Free Day to explore Chefchaouen

Welcome to day 2 of our 7 Days desert tour from Casablanca! Today after breakfast, you will have a free day to walk around the blue-painted alleys and explore the highlights of the blue city. The town showcases an authentic architectural style influenced by the old Moroccan Jewish culture.

We will make our way to the hiking trails of Akshour Falls, a natural wonder nestled within the Rif Mountains. This breathtaking oasis provides the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll, where we can bask in the serenity of nature and snap photos.

Our exploration continues as we visit the Kasbah Ethnographic Museum, a treasure trove of Moroccan history and traditions. This palace-turned-museum showcases a fascinating collection of artifacts, from ancient pottery and traditional costumes to intricate woodwork and exquisite jewelry.

No visit to Chefchaouen would be complete without experiencing the bustling energy of the Utah Lhmam Square. Here, you will find yourself amidst a vibrant marketplace, you will have the opportunity to discover the most beautiful Moroccan handicrafts, mostly colorful woven items to choose from and shop for souvenirs. We will also sample delicious street food for lunch.

As the day draws to a close, we will visit the AI-Swaiqa District, a neighborhood known for its beautiful buildings and panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the Rif Mountains and the charming blue rooftops of Chefchaouen as the sun sets.

To end our day, we will retreat to our traditional Riad. Kick back, relax, tomorrow, we embark on another leg of our journey, as we venture deeper into the wonders of Morocco.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

In the morning, you’ll start your day with a delicious breakfast at your riad in Chefchaouen. Today, we have an exciting journey ahead as we make our way to the vibrant city of Fes via Ouazzan.

Our first stop is Volubilis, a captivating Roman site that dates back to 225BC. After a couple of hours on the road, we’ll arrive at this well-preserved empire which boasts magnificent mosaics dating back to the 3rd century BC.

Our knowledgeable guide will lead you through the site, providing fascinating insights into the history and grandeur of the Roman Empire.

Leaving Volubilis behind, we continue our journey to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco. As we enter the city, we will visit the majestic Bab Mansour gate, an architectural masterpiece built by the Sultan My Ismail. It’s a true testament to the opulence and grandeur of Moroccan design.

We’ll also visit the granary, which showcases the intricate storage system used in ancient times, and the Sahrij Souani, an impressive structure used for irrigation and plantation.

As the day unfolds, we will make a special visit to the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum, a sacred place where the renowned Sultan Mulay Ismail rests in eternal peace, offering a glimpse into the rich history of Morocco’s rulers.

After fully immersing ourselves in the history and beauty of Meknes, we’ll hit the highway and make our way to Fes, our final destination for the day. Our journey concludes with a comfortable stay at a luxurious riad in the heart of the medina.

Day 4: Fes sightseeing tour with a local guide

After a delicious breakfast in your riad, get ready for an exciting day of exploring Fes, fondly known as “the spiritual city of Morocco.” Today, we have a full day to immerse ourselves in the rich history, culture, and beauty of this ancient city.

Our journey begins with a visit to the renowned AI Karaouine Mosque and the University, which holds the prestigious title of being the oldest university in the world.

Next on our itinerary is the Madrasa Bouanania, a splendidly ornate Islamic college that will leave you in awe of its intricate architecture. Take a moment to absorb the peaceful atmosphere and admire the stunning details that adorn its walls.

No visit to Fes would be complete without a glimpse into its traditional crafts. We will venture to the Tanneries, where the ancient art of leatherworking is still practiced today. Watch skilled artisans dye and treat hides using ancient methods, creating beautiful, handmade products.

After a well-deserved lunch, we will venture outside Medina to explore the city’s other gems. Our first stop will be the Royal palace gate, a grand entrance that showcases the regal elegance of Moroccan architecture.

From there, we will stroll through the Jewish quarter, known as the Mellah, where history and tradition intertwine. We will also have the opportunity to visit a pottery cooperative, where talented artisans create exquisite pottery using traditional techniques.

Later in the afternoon, we will venture to one of the fortresses that overlook Medina. From this vantage point, you will be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city.

Finally, as the day comes to a close, we will return to our comfortable riad for a well-deserved rest.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we begin our journey south towards the mesmerizing Merzouga desert. Our first stop is Ifrane, often referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture and clean streets. Take a moment to stroll through its picturesque neighborhoods and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Continuing our adventure, we will pass through Midelt and Errachidia, catching glimpses of the stunning Middle Atlas and High Atlas Mountains along the way.

Our next stop is at the famous cedar forest, the largest one in Morocco. This enchanting forest is home to the mischievous Barbarian apes, and you’ll have the chance to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

As we approach Er Rachidia, you’ll notice the scenery changing, giving way to hints of the desert landscape. After indulging in a delicious lunch in Midelt, our journey continues through the awe-inspiring Ziz Valley. Be sure to have your camera ready as we make stops to capture the panoramic views.

Driving through Berber villages, we will arrive in Erfoud and then Rissani, the historic foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, the ruling royal family in Morocco. Immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of this ancient city before we continue our journey.

Arriving in Merzouga at the end of the day, you will ride your camel to see the sunset in the middle of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. At the camp, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea.

Enjoy a delicious dinner under the starry sky, accompanied by the beats of traditional Berber music. Then spend the night in our comfortable desert camp.

Day 6: Sahara desert – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast at the camp, we’ll continue our journey. But first, we advise that you wake up to view the beautiful sunrise. We’ll start the day with a camel ride back to where we left off the day before. You will be greeted by our friendly driver who will accompany you on your next adventure.

Our first stop for the day is Tinghir and the famous Todra Gorges. These gorges are known for being the highest and narrowest in all of Morocco, a true natural marvel. Take a moment to soak in the stunning panoramic views and enjoy the serenity of this remarkable place. If you’re up for it, you can also embark on an invigorating hike along the valley.

Leaving the gorges behind, we’ll continue our journey through the Dades Valley. This picturesque valley is famed for its majestic sand castles and fascinating rock formations known as “monkey toes”, peculiar rock formations that seem to mimic the shape of primate toes.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to take stunning photographs and make incredible memories. As the day ends, we will retreat to a cozy riad or hotel nestled in the heart of the Dades Gorge.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakech

On the seventh day of your 7-day tour in Morocco, prepare yourself for another exciting adventure as we depart from Dades Valley and head towards the city of Marrakech.

After indulging in a delicious breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive through Dades Valley, which is known as the “way of a thousand Kasbahs”. Get your camera ready, as this route offers countless opportunities to capture breathtaking shots that will forever remind you of this amazing trip.

As part of our 7-day tour in Morocco to the Sahara from Casablanca, we will make a stop at Kalaat Mgouna, also known as “the rose city.” Where the locals offer their rose products. From rose water, perfumes, oil, to cosmetic products.

From there, we continue to Ouarzazate, fondly referred to as “the Hollywood of Africa”. This city has served as a backdrop for numerous movies, earning it a well-deserved reputation in the film industry.

For lunch, we’ll make a stop at the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in all of Morocco. This architectural masterpiece has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it has served as the stunning setting for renowned films like “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” and even “Game of Thrones.”

Our adventure will then take us through the awe-inspiring Tizi N’Tichka pass, reaching a soaring altitude of 2260 meters over the high Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we can even make a stop at one of the women’s cooperatives to witness the traditional process of making argan oil.

Ultimately, our day will conclude as we arrive at your accommodations in Marrakech.
