Stop 3: Ouarzazate

Our trip continues to Ouarzazate, (pronounced “where-za-zat”), a city often dubbed as “the gateway of the desert”, otherwise referred to as the “noiseless” city in the enchanting Berber tongue.

Here we’ll see the Taourirt Kasbah, a former palace of the Glaoui tribe one of the most powerful and influential families that ruled the region in the 19th and 20th centuries.

This Kasbah is a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, with its intricate decorations and maze-like rooms. A local tour guide will unravel the fascinating tales of its rich history, enthralling your senses with breathtaking vistas of the awe-inspiring landscape that envelops it.
