Welcome to day one of your 10-day Morocco holiday! We’ll start by picking you up from your accommodation, the airport, or the port in Tangier. Then have a full guided tour to the highlights of Tangier.
We kick off the trip by visiting the Kasbah Museum housed in Dar el-Makhzen Palace. Experience the rich culture and heritage of Morocco as you explore the museum’s impressive collection of Moroccan crafts, artifacts, and arts.
Next, we will visit The Grand Socco, a vibrant square that serves as the entrance to the medina. Immerse yourself in the lively local atmosphere, wander through the surrounding markets, and discover the fusion of tradition and modernity that defines Tangier’s unique character.
Later in the day, we will head west towards the Caves of Hercules. These caves are renowned for their distinctive formations and carry an aura of myth and mystery. After breakfast feel free to wander in the beautiful alleys of the blue city of Chefchaouen. Then we head towards Volubilis crossing Ouazan and other villages of the Rif.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts fascinating Roman ruins that date back to the 3rd century BC. Walk through the well-preserved ancient streets, admire the stunning mosaics, and learn more about the rich history of Morocco. Continuing our journey, we will arrive at the city of Meknes, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This 17th-century jewel is steeped in history and known for its magnificent architecture.

Today, with Morocco Vacation Itinerary, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Fes, led by a knowledgeable local guide. Fes is a city renowned for its ancient medina, colorful souks, and rich cultural heritage, offering a perfect opportunity to delve deeper into Morocco’s history and traditions.
We will kick off by visiting the Royal palace gate, where you will catch a glimpse of the regal architecture that reflects the grandeur of Morocco’s monarchy. This will be followed by a visit to the well-preserved medieval Medina, which is listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
One of the highlights of thetour will be the visit to the Medrasa Bouanania, a remarkable theological college. You will have the chance to explore its beautiful courtyard and the intricately carved wooden balconies that flank it.

Then we drive to an ancient fortress, for panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. Then return to your Riad.
On the fourth day, of your 10 days itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech, we set out towards the mesmerizing Sahara Desert and the dunes of Merzouga.
Our route takes us through the breathtaking Middle Atlas Mountains, where we will pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort built by the French in the 1930s, designed to resemble a charming Swiss village. No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco.
Continuing our drive through the Middle Atlas, we reach the tranquil cedar forests of Azrou. This serene sanctuary is home to Barbary macaques, native to this region. Take a leisurely stroll through the cedar forest, relishing in the crisp mountain air and feel free to feed these friendly monkeys.
Then we make our way to Midelt, where we will stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we embark on a scenic drive through the Tizi N Telghomt pass, offering breathtaking views of the Ziz gorges. Keep your camera handy, as the stunning landscape presents plenty of opportunities for remarkable photographs.
We’ll also make a stop to take in the panoramic view of the Ziz Valley, a picturesque oasis filled with palm groves and flowing streams.
Our route then takes us through the towns of Aoufous and Erfoud, the capital of fossils. If interested, we can arrange a visit to a local fossil craft workshop. Finally, we arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where we will settle into a cozy local hotel situated near the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi.
After breakfast, we will set out to explore the region of Merzouga. With its diverse landscapes including wild lakes, sprawling sand dunes, ancient fossil areas, and captivating oases, this area offers countless opportunities for outdoor activities.
Our journey begins with an off-road drive to M’ifis, an ancient mine where the precious eyeliner was extracted. Here, you can learn about the history and significance of this traditional beauty product.
Next, we will have the privilege of visiting nomads in their traditional woven tents, made from the wool of their animals. It is a truly humbling experience to witness their resilient and sustainable way of life, completely in harmony with nature.
Continuing our journey, we reach the charming village of Khamlia, known for its soul-stirring Gnawa music. Originating from sub-Saharan regions and deeply rooted in Morocco’s culture, this traditional art form will truly captivate you.
Today, our lunch will be a local delicacy, known as Berber pizza. Next, we take a short drive to Merzouga’s wild lake, aptly referred to as the “Flamingo Lake.”
In the afternoon, we head back to our hotel where your trusty camel and camel guide await you. To cap off the memorable journey, a pause on a high sand dune will afford you the opportunity to admire the breathtaking sunset.
After the camel trek, you will arrive at the campsite where you will spend the night under the starlit sky. Once there, you can enjoy the ambiance of traditional Berber music and dance around the campfire. A delicious dinner will be served, providing a perfect end to a memorable day.
Rise early to witness what may be the best sunrise of your life. After a delicious breakfast and refreshing shower at the Riad, we will set off towards Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani has long been an important hub for trade in the region.
After a leisurely stroll through Rissani souk we make our way to Erfoud, where we will explore one of the workshops specializing in fossilized marble. Discover the fascinating process of creating these unique pieces and gain an appreciation for this ancient art form.
Then we drive to Tinghir, and Todra Gorges, boasting the highest and narrowest gorges in all of Morocco. Take pleasure in exploring the winding paths within these majestic red cliffs. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we proceed to the Dades Valley, passing through the picturesque town of Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we cannot miss the majestic sand castles and incredible rock formations known as the “monkey fingers” that sit atop a mountain, providing an amazing view of the Dades Valley.

After breakfast, the road takes us to Ouarzazate through the Way of Thousand Kasbahs, a route that offers countless opportunities to capture the best photographs of the trip.
Our first stop will bring us face to face with the Berber nomads who live in cave homes, giving you a glimpse into their traditional way of life.
As you continue your journey, you will be delighted by the breathtaking sights of the fertile Rose Valley and the magnificent rock formations that dominate the landscape. Then we will stop at Kalaat M’gouna, also known as “the rose city.”
Here, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase rose water, , a versatile and refreshing beauty product that can elevate your skincare routine and culinary creations.
Moving on, stop by Skoura, a charming oasis town, and explore the bird’s valley. Among the highlights of this stop is the opportunity to discover the Kasbah Amridil, a meticulously preserved kasbah that offers a glimpse into the region’s rich history and architectural heritage.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, aptly nicknamed “the Hollywood of Africa.” This vibrant city has served as the backdrop for numerous international film productions, and it exudes a distinct cinematic charm. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel or Riad.
Our itinerary for today takes us to Marrakech, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. However, before we reach our final destination, we will make a few noteworthy stops along the way.
First, we will explore the renowned film studios in Ouarzazate, where numerous famous movies have been filmed. We will also have the opportunity to explore the impressive Taourirt Kasbah.
En route, we will stop by the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This exceptional location has served as a backdrop for several iconic movies, including Gladiator, The Mummy, and Alexander, as well as popular TV series like Game of Thrones.
Continuing our route towards Marrakech, we will pass through the formidable High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka, the highest road pass in North Africa. We will make stops along the way for lunch and to capture photographs of captivating landmarks. Our overnight stay will be in a Riad in Marrakech.
Get ready for an exciting day as your local guide joins you at your hotel or riad at around 9:00 am. Today, we’ll dive into the captivating highlights of Marrakech.
Our first stop is Bahia Palace. Next, we’ll visit the Saadian Tombs, a burial site that remained hidden for centuries until its rediscovery in 1917. Marvel at the meticulous details of these royal tombs, which house the remains of Saadian rulers and their families, as we learn more about their intriguing history.
Our journey continues with a stop to the Ben Youssef Quaranic Mosque and then a stroll through the largest traditional souk in Morocco.
Lunch will be near the lively Jemaa El-Fna Square. Soak up the vibrant ambiance of this energetic square filled with street performers, storytellers, and vendors selling their wares. Later on, we’ll stop by the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Majorelle Garden, botanical paradise, originally designed by French painter Jacques Majorelle.
Finally, we’ll return you to your hotel, but feel free to explore Jemaa El-Fna Square at your leisure.
